What is Due Diligence?
Due diligence is a term used to describe the investigative steps that organisations take to assure themselves that a merger or takeover is in the best interests of their organisation and beneficiaries. The process involves researching an organisation’s financial health and viability to help guide a decision to take over, invest or merge. It is a process designed to determine the ‘truth’ about an organisation.
